Amelia Vangilder Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Amelia Lurene Vangilder, 91 of Rector passed from the cares of this life on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was born on February 4, 1928 in Greene County to the late Linsey Herbert and Olla Belle Collier Seay. Lurene worked at Brown Shoe Company and was of the Baptist Faith. Lurene was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Juanell Dortch, Helen Donaldson; three brothers: Aaron Seay, Harold Seay, Maurice Seay; one grandson: Benjamin Vangilder. She is survived by her husband: E.J. Vangilder, daughter: Dianne Wilson and James of Gentry, Arkansas; sons: Dennis Vangilder and Wanda of Ralph, Arkansas, Alvin Vangilder and Regina of Rector, Andy Vangilder and Jill of Marmaduke; grandchildren: Jonathan Vangilder, Cindy Still, David Wilson, Danny Wilson, Donna Mitchell, Denise Hayashi, Dawn Weir, Joshua Vangilder, Sarah Vangilder, Colby Wynn, Kelsey Wynn; one sister: Betty Crews, one brother: Larry Seay; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 12, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. Funeral Services will be on Monday May 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Memorials can be made to the Clay or Greene County 4-H program or to Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church In Knob, Arkansas.
