Betty Jean Hardin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty Jean Hardin, 97 passed away on March 25, 2022. She was born in Paragould, AR to the late Bessie and Ernest Earl. Betty spent her lifetime in Greene and Clay Counties. She was a loving mother to her two sons, a wonderful wife and homemaker. As a farmer’s wife she did the task at hand. She enjoyed being at home, reading, sewing, and cooking. She loved the Lord and Gospel music. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Tom Earl (Hazel), by a sister, Dolores Dortch (Clyde), by a daughter-in-law: Rhonda Spain, a grandson: Todd Spain, her first husband who was a casualty of WWII : George William Spain and her husband of 67 years, Ray Hardin. She is survived by her sons: Michael "Mike" and Glenda Spain of Paragould, Richard "Rick" Spain of Fayetteville, Grandchildren: Michele Carvell, Michael (Crystal) Spain, Darick Spain and Tiffany (Lance) Spanke, 8 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends. The family is grateful for the loving care given to their Mother at Chateau on the Ridge and Busby Cottage of Belle Meade. Interment will be at Woodland Heights on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 10:30. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Rector First Baptist Food Ministry.
