Geraldine Potts

Geraldine Potts, 78, of Dallas, went to be with her Lord Jesus on August 31, 2021. She had lived in Dallas the last 37 years where she accumulated a following of close friends, particularly children with whom she had formed a unique bond. She was an avid fan of the Mavericks and Cowboys. Geraldine loved the Bible and drew special comfort from the Psalms which provided needed inspiration for her journey. She was a gifted artist but her real passions included her family, fishing, and a variety of music. She had an ornery streak and a great sense of humor and all who knew her would testify she was one of a kind. She was born in the Crockett, Arkansas area to Arthur and Edna (Johnson) Underwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Wendell Lee Potts, her sisters: Bernice Gordon, Ella Jean Lemons and Patsy Pobst, and her grandson Dustin McIntosh. She is survived by her children: Angie and Jim McIntosh, Shawn and Jennifer Potts and Shane Potts; 3 grandchildren: Chord, Michael and Meagan, 2 great-grandchildren: Riggs and Dax; her sister: Sonya Cole along with a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside Services are being held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 8, 2021 at the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas with Rev. Tim McCluskey officiating. Pallbearers are Shane Potts, Jon Cooper, Louis Lemons, Michael Potts, Greg Neeley and Jim McIntosh. Piggott Mortuary of Piggott, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements.
