James Earl Spann, 72 of Marmaduke passed from this life on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at the St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born on November 2, 1942 in Black, Alabama to the late Harvey and Hattie (Reeves) Spann. James was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife: Wilma (Smith) Spann; and one brother: Bernice Lamar Spann. He is survived by one son: James and Katrina Spann of Marmaduke; one daughter: Bobbie Kunold and Fiancé Brian of Peach Orchard; two brothers: Edward Spann and Charles K. Spann of Eustis, Florida; one sister: Sarah Sickler of Sun City, Arizona; two grandchildren: Michael and Lorean Spann, Victoria Beckman; one great grandchild: Brayden Spann; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Marmaduke with Bro. Rueben Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 2, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Marmaduke.
