Pat A Dowdy

Pat Dowdy, 72 of Paragould passed from this life on December 19, 2020 at the NEA Hospital. She was born in the Rector area to Norene (Eaton) Barlow. Her Uncle Hollis Eaton lovingly helped raise Pat. Pat was involved with many activities and enjoyed life to the fullest. She married Keith on December 19, 1981 and spent 39 years married to her best friend. She influenced many children with her teaching at the Rector Elementary and Greenway School District for 33 years. Pat and Keith were members of Mary Chapels General Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and led the singing for many years. After the closing of the church they started attending Marmaduke First Baptist where they have attended for 14 years. They loved to travel and have gone to all 50 States and Hawaii a couple of times. She was a volunteer at the Ladies Auxiliary at the AMC Hospital and faithfully worked at the Nursing Home Ministry Services each month. She was survived by her husband Keith and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 22nd at Woodland Heights Cemetery starting at 11:00 am with Anthony Dowdy and Kim Bridges officiating.
