Phyllis Ann Misee' Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Phyllis Ann Misee’, 82, passed on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at UAMS in Little Rock, AR. She was born on May 29th, 1939 in Rector, AR to the late Farris and Laura Holifield. She was a devoted teacher for over 20 years before retirement and continued to guide and mentor many others for the remainder of her life. She loved antiques and fine things. She had a passion for nature and animals, tending to dozens over the years ranging from Siamese cats and poodles to goats, llamas, and peacocks. With an outgoing view on life, Phyllis always had an adventurous story to tell that would keep anyone captivated. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Misee’, her parents, and siblings: Jean Miles, Cecil Holifield, and Glenda Long as well as nephew, Robert Holifield. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Leigh Kocsik of Little Rock, her grandchildren: Tara Crider (Michael) of Springfield, Missouri, Elizabeth Wiggins (Brandon) of Little Rock, and Nickolas Kocsik of Little Rock; and 9 great grandchildren. Her nieces and nephews include Kris Miles Cogbill, Keli Miles Collins, David Miles, Emily Holifield Lalone, Clair Long Peppers, and Michael Long. She will be greatly missed by them along with a host of other family members. Graveside Services will be held on Friday July 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
