Ruby Irene Maddux Ruby Maddux, 87 of Piggott passed from this life on August 30, 2018 at the Piggott Community Hospital. She was born on May 5, 1931 to the late Bennie and Lena Lee (Berry) Burdin in Rector. Ruby was one of the 1st female mail carriers in the St Louis area. She worked for the Veterans Administration for years and worked as an Aging Home Health Caretaker. She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husbands: Cledis Maddux and Fred Schmitt, a son: Bennie Schmitt, a granddaughter: Dana Burdin Brand, her brothers: Edward Burdin, Hughey Burdin and John Rollen Burdin, and her sisters: Beatrice Stevenson, Deloris Burdin and Bessie Jane Burdin. She is survived by her son: Terry Burdin of Piggott and his wife: Carolyn of Grayville, Illinois,her grandchildren: Terry Burdin II and Charrae of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Tonya McKenzie and Mike of Washington, Indiana, James Burdin and Melissa of Grayville, Illinois, Phillip Burdin of Albion, Illinois, Sarah Ann Burdin of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Joshua Burdin of Springfield, Illinois, Katrina Carroll of Colorado, Aaron Gotham, Angela Schmitt of Davey, Florida and Benjamin Schmitt, her great grandchildren: Bailey and Libby Burdin, A.J. Linder, Justin McKenzie, Aaliyah Stepro, Madison Stepro, Trystin Brand, Xaiden Prindle, Liliana Rodriguez, Robby Schmitt, Remy Schmitt, Richy Rodriguez, Benjamin Ayyash, Anya Ayyash and Kylie Ann Schmitt, brothers: Vick and Keloa Burdin and Alvie Burdin of Piggott sister-in-laws: Betty Burdin of Piggott Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 12:00 and the service at 2:00 at the Piggott Mortuary.
